September begins in just a few days. The official start of fall is a few weeks away. 2018 is nearing the end.
I’m not saying all this to scare you or to rush things, but more so as a reminder for all of us that life moves so incredibly fast. They say the days are long and the years are short, and it couldn’t be more true.
Truly, I don’t know where the time goes. Of course, when you’re in the thick of something it can seem like the minutes and hours are moving at a snail’s pace, but when you look at the days and life as a whole, it’s pretty unbelievable how fast it all goes.
And this crazy ride we’re all on isn’t slowing down any time soon. In fact, it seems as we get older it goes even faster!!
Do you ever take the time to stop and think about where you are in your life and on this journey? Are you where you want to be? Have you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish at this point? Have you taken the leaps you’ve had the desire to take?
If your answer is no to any of these questions, I’d like to ask you another question..
Why?
Why haven’t you done the things you’ve wanted to do? Is it out of fear? Is it due to being concerned what others might think? Something else?
Of course we can’t simply snap our fingers and have what we’ve always wanted in front of us. It takes hard work, courage, and oftentimes, patience, but have you tried?
What are you waiting for?
This isn’t a dress rehearsal. This is the real deal. This is the main event.
We only get this wild and precious life once so let’s make it count. Let’s do all the things we’ve had dreams of doing.
No one is stopping you except you. More often than not, you (all if us) are standing in your own way.
Take some time to think about what it is that you really want and desire. Think long and hard and then do everything in your power to make it happen.
This is your life. Live it exactly as you wish. Make your dreams a reality. And never look back.
