Raise your hand if you have quite a lengthy to do list. Furthermore, raise your hand if you have a list full of even lengthier, longer term plans and goals you’d like to achieve.

Are you all raising your hands? I know I am!

It’s easy to add more and more to the growing task list, whether daily tasks or longer term. It sometimes even feels like you’re accomplishing something even just by writing it down. And, it’s true, that is a good first step!

Though, how many of us can attest to continuing to add things to the list, but not actually crossing them off? I’d venture to say many of us can fall into that boat.

Sometimes, however, the best thing you can do is to just do it. Easier said than done, right?

Not necessarily.

The most effective way to do it is to do it.

I’m not saying you need to do it perfectly the first time (or even the second time…or even the fifth time), but the key is to just start. You might make mistakes. You’ll likely make mistakes. Be grateful for those mistakes. Because those mistakes are what will get you to move forward and find the best path to your goal.

Once you decide what you want, take whatever steps you need to simply begin. Thinking about it is fun, but imagine putting it into action and making it your reality!

Now, it might take time. It’ll likely take time (depending on how lofty a goal it is). But be patient. If you’re working hard and taking the necessary steps, you’ll get there. It’ll happen. No one and nothing is stopping you but yourself.

Your first steps might simply be some research. Well, start, and go from there. You have to start somewhere. And it might seem like a cumbersome task and one in which you can’t even wrap your head around, but once you start it won’t feel as much so.

So, this is me giving you (and myself) a little nudge to do that thing you’ve been wanting to do but continuing to put off. What’s the worst that could happen?

You can do it. We can do it.

A Couple More Things
