Happy Mother’s Day, friends! Just a quick note to acknowledge today for each of you..
I myself am filled with many thoughts of gratitude and wonderment and reflection as I celebrate my first Mother’s Day as a mom today. I really still find it hard to fathom that I am a mom to such a wonderfully sweet baby. These last eleven months have been filled with many challenges. But the joy of being Elle’s mom overshadows everything. My life is better in every way because of her.
Perhaps you too are a new mom. Perhaps you have been a mom for many years. Perhaps you’re a grandmother. Perhaps you’re a motherlike figure to someone special.
Whatever the case, I wish you much joy today! Happy Mother’s Day!
Lastly, for those of you for whom this day is painful because of loss or absence of a mother figure, I get it. For many years, this wasn’t a favorite day of mine. My heart goes out to you as well.
No matter your situation or circumstance today, may you freely give and receive love with reckless abandon.
