You Need to Make this Easy Red White and Blue Sangria ASAP

Red, white, and booze.

Red White and Blue Sangria

Believe it or not, we’re just days away from the 4th of July! How, and I repeat how, is that possible? Whether you’re going to be enjoying a backyard BBQ, a beach bonfire, a friend’s pool party, a day on the lake, or just laying low, it’s sure to be a nice day off.

You know we love a good party theme around here. And I think it’s safe to say that the unofficial theme of summer is red, white, and blue, right? Something about summer brings out all the patriotic vibes!

With that in mind, we whipped up this easy-peasy patriotic sangria that is not only absolutely beautiful and ready for its close up, but it’s the most delicious sangria I’ve ever tried.

Trust me – before you know it, this will be your go-to summer cocktail. It’s definitely the prettiest and yummiest red, white, and blue cocktail I’ve ever had! You’ll be the hostess with the mostess for sure. 🙂

Keep scrolling for the recipe for this red, white, and blue sangria…

Easy Red White and Blue Sangria

Prep time: 20 minutes / best served if left chilling in the fridge for at least four hours

Wash and slice Granny Smith apples, then cut apple stars with a metal cookie cutter. Place apple stars in a container with a small amount of water and add some lemon to prevent apples from browning. You will be using 3/4 of your apples for your sangria blend, and saving the rest in a closed container in the refrigerator for garnishing your cocktails upon serving.

Stir together wine, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, 3/4 of the apples, lemonade and apple juice together in a large pitcher.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. The longer it refrigerates the better the flavors will blend!

When you’re ready to serve the sangria, gradually stir in the champagne and ice.  Serve immediately and garnish with a star apple on top.

You can also choose to reserve some of the blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries so you can layer on glasses before pouring sangria in order to achieve a tiered red, white and blue presentation.
