The Best Berry Sweater to Wear Now

You know, I’ve mentioned that we’ve had unseasonably warm weather here in Houston recently. But occasionally we have let a cooler day or two sneak in. And while the winter months are typically synonymous with dark colors, I nevertheless tend to veer on the bright side of things. Case in point: the berry sweater you see in these pictures. I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you if you’ve been a long time reader of Wear + Where + Well. We love color in these parts – no matter the season!

So, speaking of color, I simply had to scoop up this Free People oversized sweater in ‘electric berry’ (other bright, colorful sweaters I love here and here). I actually thought it was more pink from the photos online, but the lilac color is lovely too. It’s bold, it’s bright, and I absolutely adore it. Note that the sweater is marketed as a mini dress, but it sure doesn’t work as a dress on this 5’10” frame. Ha!

For the finishing touch, I brought it all together with my new Christian Louboutin explotek zigzag pumps (similar style here, less expensive styles here and here). I’d been eyeing these statement heels for quite sometime. So, when I finally spotted them in stock in my size, I splurged with some Christmas gift cards and store credit. Eek – shoes are my weakness. 😉
