Happy Friday to you all!

Today’s round up is teeming with tints of tangerine. Though I’ve shied away from this bold hue in the past, I really seem to be embracing it this season. First, I donned this dress. Then I fell in love with these pumps. (And it seems you are fond of those shoes too, based on your reaction to these two Instagram photos.)

The color itself embodies summer, as it seems to radiate heat, happiness. It evokes feelings of optimism and positivity and energy. Who couldn’t use at least a little bit of these things in your life?

Tips for Trying Tangerine:

1. Use it as an accent

If the boldness of the hue intimidates you, dip your toe in the water by using it as an accent via a pair of shoes, a necklace, or even nail polish.

2. Amp it up with metals

If you’re going for a glam look, tangerine looks great when paired with metals, particularly gold. You might recall that I paired an orange dress with gold accessories for this Giuseppe Zanotti grand opening party in Dallas.

3. Play it cool with blues

Orange pairs wonderfully with blues. Cobalt is my favorite shade of blue at the moment, but navy also works well. Throwing a denim jacket over an orange dress tones down the hue and gives it a very cool, laid back vibe.
