Splurge vs. Save : Bold Pink Dress

You might have noticed that I wore a bold pink top to Elle’s Sip and See last week. While this might not be all that crazy for you, it was certainly a big deal for me! As I’ve mentioned before, I tend to opt for neutrals when it comes to my wardrobe. Black, white, grey, and pops of color here and there are the colors you’ll see in my closet. But when we decided on a tropical theme for the party, and our primary colors were pink and green, I knew I wanted to dress the part. And so I purchased a pink top! 

I’m still not totally sure how often I’ll wear said pink top, but I really do like it, and I did enjoy wearing it. It’s bold, it’s bright, and it’s, quite simply, a happy color.

So, when I was working on this week’s Splurge vs. Save, I kept going back to this pink dress, and decided this is what I wanted to base the outfits around. I was also inspired by Carrie’s look here that I loved so much. 

Pink and Blue

There’s something about bold pink and cobalt blue that I can’t help but love together. I adore both the looks below, and I think the colorful accessories go perfectly with each. The colors complement each other so well, and they’re flattering on all skin tones.
