Stripes and Ruffles and Crochet, Oh My!
Written by Julie Weinstein
First and most important, we’d like to take a minute to say how sorry we are for those of you who have been affected by the terrible and heart breaking tragedy in Las Vegas. There truly are no words. Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with each and every one of you.
Transitioning now to something that is so trivial compared to what all is going on in the world, but hopefully a little light reading will bring a smile to your face.
Now, it might seem like there’s a lot going on with this sweater, and that’s because there is! In the best way possible, of course.
Self Portrait Striped Frill Sweater
This navy Self Portrait sweater is full of life! From the crochet detail at the neck, right below the slight turtleneck collar, to the ruffles, stripes, rib knit, and flounce sleeves, it is definitely busy. While busy, it works! And well. Each detail seamlessly sits nicely together, making it a gorgeous fall piece. And while it looks like it might be heavy, due to the ribbed-knit fabric, it’s actually quite lightweight.
How Carrie Styled Her Sweater
After seeing yesterday’s post and now today’s, aren’t you on the hunt for white accessories? Well, just wait until this afternoon’s article 😉 Carrie paired her sweater with cropped, raw hem jeans, her show stopping white booties, adorable mini bag, and a pop of pink in her sunglasses. This is the type of look I plan to live in all season long. It’s comfortable and cozy, all the while being stylish and current. What more could one ask for in an outfit?!
Style tip from Carrie :
Update your jeans this season with a cropped pair, perfect for showing off your booties!
One More Thing
As we hinted to above, be sure to check back this afternoon for a deeper look into one of our favorite fall trends! Have a good day.
