Minted Stationery

Each year, when we ring in the New Year, I focus my mindset on intentions for the coming year, rather than a long list of resolutions. I must admit, though, that this year I did have one nagging resolution in the back of my mind: to be better about sending handwritten notes. I certainly love receiving happy mail, so I resolved to be better about sending happy mail.

Fast forward to now… I’m wondering, “Where did the first four months of the year go?” and “How is it May already?”. Also, what happened to that novel resolution about sending more happy mail?

At that point, I turned to Minted. I’ve used Minted in the past for party invitations and always been so thrilled with the quality of the products and the top-notch service. So, I wanted to check out their stationery offerings. Clicking on their “stationery for her” section revealed over 500 options!

How in the world did I choose from all those beautiful Minted stationery designs?

Well, one thing you might not know about me is that, in a former life (i.e., ten-plus years ago), I was really into scrapbooking. No, I didn’t do that cutesy style of scrapbooking. But I was into the more modern, graphic-design influenced style of scrapbooking. [Side note: For a wonderful example of modern memory keeping, visit my friend Ali Edwards’ site.] Scrapbooking was my creative outlet at the time. In fact, I was a contributing editor to Better Homes and Gardens scrapbooking magazine called Scrapbooks Etc.

I mention all that only to say that I love playing around with photos and words. So, when I saw Minted’s option to incorporate photos (just click on the one photo option) and custom text on my stationery, I jumped at the chance. You might recognize the photos from this article and this one.

Thanks to Minted stationery, I now have some beautiful, custom, unique notecards. So, there is now no excuse to be slacking on my New Year’s resolution to send more happy mail! Friends, be on the lookout. Check your mail boxes… 😉
