Maternity Monday

Happy Monday, guys! In the current tradition of Maternity Monday, I have a brief pregnancy update for you today. Plus, as we mentioned this morning, it’s National Find a Rainbow Day. So, naturally, we had to extend that celebration to share rainbow baby finds this afternoon!

Update on Baby Girl + Me

How far along am I now?

26+ weeks. Due 7.7.17

How is the baby?

She is doing just fine… Strong heartbeat and very active! Only slight concern is that she is measuring on the very small end of the scale, so we are keeping a close eye on that.

How am I feeling?

Now, that’s another story… I’ll spare you the details, but I’ve had some complications affecting my gall bladder, making eating very painful. So, we are figuring out how to manage the pain, while still ensuring that I get adequate nutritional intake for the baby.

Other than that, I’m just trying to take care of myself by getting adequate sleep and regular exercise – easier said than done some days.

On the exercise front, I’m doing strength training with a personal trainer two times a week. I’ve always found that when I feel strong physically, it helps me to feel strong mentally as well. Plus, I’m just doing a lot of walking. Prior to the pregnancy, I ran a fair bit. But for whatever reason, I haven’t felt like running at all. But I can walk for hours at a time!

What has been the most exciting thing lately?

Feeling her move! From what I gather, I haven’t felt as much movement, in general, relative to other pregnant ladies I know.

But just yesterday, I felt her move in a major way! In fact, I could see my whole abdomen move as she rolled around inside of me! Such a crazy feeling. Such a miraculous thing.

What am I most excited about these days?

A few things come to mind:

  1. We will be doing the 3D ultrasound in a few weeks.
  2. My sister and some dear friends are hosting a baby shower later this month.
  3. The nursery design is fully underway, in conjunction with the talented Laura Umansky. More on that soon…

32 Rainbow Inspired Baby Picks

Now, as I mentioned, the current rainbow trend is extending into baby wear – much to my delight! Here are a few of my favorite rainbow-inspired products for baby.

In Closing

So, are you on board with the rainbow trend? Indeed, you know that we are! Whether for grown ups, kids and babies, or even food, we are all in! After all, color makes us happy!

Finally, let me know if you have any questions for me on the baby / pregnancy front, on the fashion front, the travel front, or anything really. Leave a comment or email me (hello at wearwherewell.com).
