The Key to Wearing Florals in the Fall

Yes, of course florals are typically thought of in the warmer months. And it makes sense as to why. Flowers bloom in the spring and summer, not in the fall and winter, so typically you think to wear said print during the months they are around. We touched upon it briefly here and here, and you likely saw this morning’s article, too; we’re very much on board with florals in the fall. In fact, we love it. And it really could be one of our very favorite prints to wear this time of year.

The Key

Now, the key to wearing florals this time of year is to wear them on a dark background! It doesn’t matter how bright and light the florals are; when they are over a dark color, it immediately become falls friendly.

And it’s not just limited to dresses, but there are also tons of shirts, pants, skirts, accessories, and shoes all bringing in the floral print in different ways. All over florals, just a few, small, big, you name it…florals are everywhere!
