When you find an item of clothing that you love, do you find yourself wanting to wear it over and over? I know I do! Having an item of clothing on repeat doesn’t mean your style has to become repetitive, though. Changing how you style that item can change the look entirely. Plus, wearing an item multiple ways will help you get more bang for the buck from your wardrobe spending.
So, for those favorite pieces of mine that I find myself wearing multiple times, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of those alternative styling options. I first did that with this post about styling a romper for day and for night.
One Dress Two Ways
The first time I wore the dress, the styling was more dressy in nature. Then last weekend, for a Sunday morning of walking around town and running errands, I gave the dress a relaxed spin by making four key accessory changes:
- I traded the Chloe Faye bag for a Mansur Gavriel canvas bucket bug.
- I swapped the Laurence Dacade heeled sandals for some fun Dolce & Gabbana sneakers.
- I exchanged the Karen Walker tortoiseshell sunglasses for a pair of Ray Ban mirrored aviators.
- I replaced gold jewelry and accessories for silver.
These simple changes totally changed the feel of the look and extended the utility of the dress.
