The Designer:

You have to appreciate the irony: The New York-based designing duo of Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel set out in 2012 to create the “anti it bag,” and in the process they created the most in-demand bag in recent years, spawning waiting lists world wide. The best part? The bags range in price from less than $500 to under four digits, making them much more affordable than many other sought-after luxury bags.

The pair work with mainly two iconic templates: the bucket bag and the tote bag. The bags are fashioned from vegetable-tanned Italian leather, while exhibiting a laid-back, effortlessly chic vibe. Take into consideration the clean lines, logo-less designs, quality construction, and timeless silhouettes, and you can see why this has become a classic must-have bag.

The only problem that has come with their great success is that they have difficulty keeping up with demand. So, if you can find one of these beauties, I suggest you snap it up. Keep an eye out for Mansur Gavriel pieces at Net-a-Porter, Barneys New York, and Bergdorf Goodman.
