Colorful Stripes

Two things make us very happy: color and stripes. Can you blame us? Combine the two, and we are in love.And when they are together, it’s a combination we can’t help but swoon over. Lucky for all of us, colorful stripes are everywhere, and in particular, this fantastic duo has been trending with sweaters this season, and we adore the look of them.

In case you’re wondering if I’m taking my own advice, well there is certainly no doubt about it with this topic! Personally, I’ve already added three colorful striped sweaters to my own wardrobe. And I wouldn’t be opposed to adding some more!

I have this IRO one, this J.Crew one, and my most recent purchase, this Marc Jacobs one that I’m wearing in these photos. In fact, packing for London was super easy, as I just took all my colorful striped sweaters and an assortment of jeans. Indeed, there definitely was a theme to my suitcase!

What I’m Wearing

I immediately fell in love with this Marc Jacobs Striped Tattered Crewneck Sweater (also available here and here). From the bright colors to the tie at the neck, I just knew it would be a sweater I’d live in this season. If you’re looking for an inexpensive option, we simply love this Gap sweater!

I paired it with my Tu Es Mon Tresor Bow Jeans that I seriously couldn’t resist. You can get them with black bows if you prefer, but how fun are the colorful ones?! (Also, these boyfriend jeans are a great, reasonably priced option.) I topped off the look with these Gucci loafers (lower heel here and similar style here) and this cute little Chanel from The Vintage Contessa.

On a Personal Note

Finally, on a personal note, I’m back home in Houston after about ten fabulous days in London. But I’m only home very briefly. On Wednesday, I leave the country again. This time, I’ll be traveling to New Zealand! So, stay tuned and follow along.
