Pregnancy Update

First, major thanks to y’all for all your sweet comments and for asking about how my pregnancy is going. I had every intention of writing a Maternity Monday post yesterday, but pregnancy had other plans for my afternoon… So, I hope you don’t mind a little Maternity Monday type update on Tuesday.

How far along am I?

29+ weeks! Almost 30 weeks. Officially into the third trimester now! It’s crazy.

When am I due?

 July 7, 2017 (7.7.17)

How is my baby girl?

She’s great! In fact, we got to see her last week in a whole new dimension. We had a chance to do a 4D ultrasound, and it was amazing! To see her move, to see her yawn, to see her profile, to get an idea of what she looks like, to get an idea of whom she looks like… Wow!

I can’t wait to meet her!

How am I feeling?

Well, I think I shared some of this before, but truth be told – the pregnancy continues to be tough on me. I continue to struggle with a gall bladder complication.

Basically, eating is extremely painful and often brings on severe nausea. So, now, my days revolve around strategically timing my meals, then being ready to take pain and nausea meds as needed, which leads to needing to rest. Then, I wake up and try to be productive for another round of work, and then repeat the process again.

It’s been fairly frustrating, but the good news is that baby girl is responding well! For a while, she was measuring extremely small. But I’m happy to say that we are making up ground and she is growing healthily!

I’m just ready to get to the finish line and have her here with us.

What am I most excited about these days?

Well, this weekend, my friends and family are hosting a baby shower for me. I’m already blown away by everyone’s kindness and expressions of love towards my baby and me. Stay tuned for a recap of the shower next week.

Also, nursery preparations are finally underway. And I’ll be sharing more of that here soon.

Ace & Jig Park Pastel Plaid Dress

Finally, friends, a few fashion facts…

I just love this pretty pastel plaid dress! How cute is the plaid fabric? In case you’re not familiar with Ace & Jig, they are known for the one-of-a-kind fabrics they source from India. And aren’t the colors so fresh and springy? It’s enough to make me smile for sure! If you’re a fan of the plaid, it’s also available as a shirt and a skirt.

The relaxed fit of the dress is great for my ever-expanding self these days. But it would also offer a cool, relaxed fit for non-pregnant folks. Given how much I like this one, I’m now eyeing this Ace & Jig dress in a similar cut.

Side note: I still haven’t bought anything that’s official “maternity” clothes. So, anything you see around here is fair game, whether you’re expecting or not. I’ve taken the route of just sizing up. So far, that’s worked for me. If and when that changes, I’ll be sure to note clearly what’s maternity wear.

In Closing

Thanks as always for stopping by! Even more so, thanks for all your sweet comments about my pregnancy and for checking on me. I appreciate it so!

Finally, have a great day. More soon…

    Hi Carrie,
That dress is so cute on you. That 3rd trimester can be the toughest as the bigger one gets the more uncomfortable it can be. The finish line is so close.

    Wishing you the best,
    Sheri
