Words of Wisdom
by Julie Weinstein
As we all know, friendships are oh so good for the soul. That’s not to discount parent-child relationships or romantic relationships or any other type of relationships, but friendships are incredibly special and important in their own right. Very special and important, indeed.
Friendships are two way streets, and in order for a true one to last, both sides must do their part. Of course I’m not trying to make this sound like a job, but in all reality, all relationships take work.
So, what makes a good friend?
This can certainly be seen as subjective, but here is a list of things that likely hold true to most friendships.
One who listens
One who cares
One who is authentic
One who is there for the other person, no questions asked
One who not only laughs with you, but cries with you, too
One who is honest with you
One who is loyal
One who isn’t there for only a reason or season, but a lifetime
One who respects you
…and much more.
