Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by. I’m at the Kentucky Derby this weekend. So please accept this abbreviated edition of Friday Favorite Finds. I’ll keep it to the point today and just share some of my must-read articles of Kentucky Derby week…

  1. 4 Spots to Visit in the Virgin Islands : This article makes me want to return to one of  my favorite places on Earth!

  2. A Month of Quotes to Inspire Creative Entrepreneurs : Given we started a new month this week, I thought this was timely.

  3. Daymond John’s Top 7 Tips on How to Launch Your Product Like a Shark : I’m a Shark Tank addict, so I was automatically drawn to this article…

  4. How to Pull Your Sh!t Together : As always, Man Repeller mixes useful information and humor.

  5. How Women Interact with Brands Online : interesting infographic included

  6. Scientifically Proven Ways to Reduce Stress : We could all use a bit of this from time to time, right?

  7. Scoop on HGTV Ratings and New Shows : if you happen to be an HGTV addict like I am, you’ll enjoy this read.

  8. The Only 8 TED Talks You Need to Watch : I would contend there are many more TED Talks worth watching, but this is a great list which includes my favorite TED Talk by fellow Houstonian Brene Brown

  9. Uber Cracking Down on Late Riders : just FYI – beware!

A Bonus Read

Finally, I have to share something that’s special to me… As I mentioned here, I am very active at the University of Texas serving on the Engineering Advisory Board. While I was in Austin for our semi-annual meetings a few weeks ago, I had the chance to connect with a special student, Sarah of The Bella Insider. Sarah is both a petroleum engineering student and a fashion blogger. It’s not every day that I meet someone with that same unique engineering + blogging combo of mine! We had a great time visiting about everything – fashion, style, career, college, travel, engineering, women in STEM, and so much more.

Read my interview with Sarah here.

I shared some information I don’t think I’ve even shared here on Wear + Where + Well. I hope you enjoy!

Also, be sure to follow along on social media this weekend ( Instagram (username: @carriec) and Snapchat (username: wearwherewell) ) for behind the scenes coverage of the Kentucky Derby. Have a great weekend!

    Hi Carrie,
I really enjoyed reading your interview. OMG! The part about having no style in college and being from a small town/limited means, I can completely relate. I am 10 years your senior, but you have really helped inspire me to up my style game this past year or so as I have followed along with you. Thanks sweetie 🙂

Hi Sheri – Oh, I’m so glad you liked it! We had a nice chat about all sorts of things.

I had absolutely no style in high school / college! I wore mostly golf shirts and denim shorts. So bad. LOL

And thanks for your kind words. So appreciated.
