Trending: Velvet Shoes

As we’ve seen, velvet has certainly made a major comeback this year. In fact, it’s the texture for fall! And we’re thrilled about it. There is something so luxe, so rich, and so elegant about velvet, and we can’t get enough of it. What we especially love in this plush fabric would have to be the shoes. From loafers to smoking slippers to ballet slippers to booties, over the knee boots, and stilettos, the options in velvet shoes are endless this season!

You’ll see both crushed and smooth velvet, embellishments galore, and worn a variety of ways. When the temperatures start to really drop, add a thick sock that coordinates with the color of the velvet in your shoe, and yes, it’s okay if the sock toes peek through!

Wear the booties with skirts, dresses, and all types of denim. And velvet sneakers certainly kick your everyday ‘gym shoes’ up a notch. Throw on your flats for daytime activities or out to dinner at night, as the luxurious fabric will help to dress up an otherwise more casual outfit.
